Description

Bastion Farmyard Bed & Breafast is a traditional, elegant country style home located among the farm-lands of the Hardap Irrigation Scheme. It is the ideal base to visit the surrounding area as it is only 9 km from Hardap Dam Resort and 14 km from Mariental, in southern Namibia. The stunning old farmhouse is lovingly restored in country style for luxury accommodation in a delightful rural setting and surrounded by pretty gardens. It sleeps 16 people, with five bedrooms and is ideal for families and quite breakaways.

We have about a hectare fenced- in, clean area with some shade trees which is not yet developed into a camping site. It is however ideal for bush-camping, i.e. campers who are fully self-equipped and do not need to use any facilities.

Mariental - 14 km, the capital of the Hardap Region. With its strategic location, Mariental is the gateway to

discover the jewels of the south of Namibia such as the international acclaimed tourist destinations Sesriem, Sossusvlei, Namib Naukluft Park and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

H ardap Dam - 9 km, which is the largest in the country - 25 km² in extent when full, is a popular tourist resort. It is also the prime location for Namibia’s fast developing water sports such as angling, skiing and the International Triathlon.
